What happens in a session of Cognitive Hypnotherapy?

What happens in a session

A session lasts between 60 and 90 minutes and consists of PSYCH-K®, NLP and Cognitive Hypnotherapy with a hypnotherapy MP3 to listen to at home between sessions.

 

During the session, you are fully awake and seated in a comfortable chair with closed eyes. When you focus on our conversation, with no visual distractions, your attention narrows, and this state is known as trance/hypnosis. It is a very relaxing and enjoyable experience, and the best part is that we are updating your subconscious mind so that it thinks and behaves the way you want it to. You adhere to your usual moral standards, are entirely in control, and your memory is not altered.

During the PSYCH-K® part of the session, we update your subconscious mind using movement, thought and speech. PSYCH-K is very much a 'doing' technique, and change is felt immediately; it also uses muscle testing to assist in its approach. 

Is it right for me

Is Cognitive Hypnotherapy & PSYCH-K right for me?

If you want to change your thoughts, feelings and behaviours quickly and permanently then it is right for you.  If you want to have better self-esteem, stop looking to others for validation and feel good about yourself and your actions then this is for you.  If you want to have better relationships with the people around you then this will give you more patience, understanding, optimism and positivity. It is however not for someone who wants to revisit an old wound over and over in the hope that this will improve things for them.  If you enjoy feeling stressed then this is not for you because after the sessions you will feel relaxed and optimistic and will deal with future stress in a calm and problem-solving way.

How many sessions

How many sessions will I need?

Most people have a course of six sessions, tailored to resolve their problem.  Young adults often require fewer than six sessions and some people require eight sessions to fully address their needs.

Regardless of the initial treatment plan, the door remains open for follow-up sessions or an additional course should life throw a new curveball.

​

This approach is designed to be fast and effective and it is approximately twice as fast as traditional talking therapies yet it resolves issues from your past, the present and those you anticipate in your future.  

​

I don't believe that talking about something over and over will achieve anything.  We will only discuss something so that we can change how you feel about it.

Enjoy more positivity

As a child, we often felt carefree, happy, interested and fun. Still, these emotions become rarer somewhere along life's path, and we experience more of life's difficulties, struggles, fears, worries, and disappointments.  How we interact with the world influences how the world interacts with us, and the subconscious mind drives how we feel, think and behave.

 

When you update your subconscious with the correct beliefs about yourself and the world around you, your behaviour and thoughts will reflect this. You will see a positive difference in your interaction with the world and the people around you.  Noticing how you can achieve your goals, feel good about yourself, be optimistic about life, and make things happen.
